Excluding or Requiring Terms - You can use "-" and "+" to control the results. To require a term, include the "+" symbol before it. When you do this, only pages that contain that term will be shown. To exclude a term, enter the "-" symbol before it. No pages that contain these terms will be shown.
Case Sensitive Searches - If a search term has at least one capital letter, the search will be case sensitive. If you search for "doG", only pages with "doG" will be shown. On the other hand, if you search for "dog", the search isn't case sensitive and you'll get pages that have "Dog", "DOG", "doG", and so on.
Wildcards - By using the wildcard "*", you can search for part of a word. If you search for "dog*", you will get pages that contain any words that begin with "dog" (ex: dogma).
Ignored Terms - Common terms like "Quake" are ignored to help keep the results more accurate. If the search engine is ignoring a term that you want to search for, simply place the "+" symbol before it.
Matching Terms - The selection box gives you the option to either match any term or match all the terms. Matching any term (default) will include any page that contains any one of the terms you enter. If you choose to match all the terms, only pages with every term you enter will be displayed.
