The gaming community is what has kept The Deathmatch Zone alive and kicking for so many years... thanks to the visitors who send in maps, screenshots, articles, and more, I've been able to keep the new stuff coming. If you have anything at all, send it along!

I'll take stories about your experiences, reviews of mods you've played, strategy guides on just about any subject (including mods), screenshots, custom maps, and more. There really isn't anything I won't take, as long as it's related to Quake. Below, you'll find instructions on how you can send these things in - please read them carefully before you submit anything. You can send everything to dzone@denken.com.

With all submissions, you'll need to include your Quake handle (or your real name, if you prefer) and your email address, as well as some kind of indication of the game the material is related to (Quake 1, Quake 2, and so on). I won't ever post your name or email address without getting your permission first. Please read below to learn what you need to do:

Articles, Strategy Guides, & Stories

You can either send the full text in an email, or send the full text as an email attachment (preferred). Attachments must be in *.txt format... for security reasons, no other files - such as ZIP archives or Word documents - will be opened. There is no limit on length, but try to keep it reasonable. Of course, no inappropriate content will be accepted. The text may be edited for grammar or content, but if any changes are made you'll be given the option to approve the final copy before it's posted (this rarely ever happens, but you know I've got to say it!).

Mod Reviews

You can either send the full text in an email, or send the full text as an email attachment (preferred). Attachments must be in *.txt format... for security reasons, no other files - such as ZIP archives or Word documents - will be opened. Try to keep the length reasonable, and include comments on various aspects of the mod, such as sound, graphics, and so on. Try to be as unbiased as possible... the intent of the mod reviews on this site is to be informative, not opinionated. Of course, no inappropriate content will be accepted. The text may be edited for grammar or content, but if any changes are made you'll be given the option to approve the final copy before it's posted.

Custom Maps

You MUST send the URL(s) to your maps in an email. Please DO NOT send the maps themselves - absolutely no attachments will be accepted. If you need a host for your map, let me know and I should be able to arrange something for you. I can't host your map for you, so please don't send it to me. The map must be for the "vanilla" version of the game (not for a mod). Of course, no maps with objectionable material will be considered (that means I won't take your new whorehouse map with the animated models). Come to think of it, if you have one of those, feel free to send it along... it might not make the site, but I guarentee you that I'll enjoy it.

Screenshots

You can either send the URL(s) in an email if the images are online, or send the images as attachments. Please DO NOT send TGA's, PCX's, or other native formats... if at all possible convert them to JPEG's first. They must be attached as separate images, not in a ZIP archive. Screens from mods are acceptable. Of course, no inappropriate content (as in, no taking screenshots of your new whorehouse map with animated models). All screenshots received will be resized to 640x480 before being posted on the site.

Feel free to send just about anything along - if it's not listed above, I'll try to find a place for it. Thanks!
